Comparing a PSU offer against a private-sector one

PSU pay usually runs on a fixed pay-scale with DA and other allowances that don't map cleanly onto a private CTC structure. Enter each offer's real breakup — not the estimated split — for an honest comparison.

Questions people actually ask

Why shouldn't I use the estimated salary-breakup default here?
The default Basic/HRA split is calibrated for typical private-sector offer letters. PSU pay structures (basic pay + DA + a different set of allowances, often no direct HRA line item) look different enough that the estimate would be misleading — use the 'enter exact figures' option on both sides.
What does a PSU offer usually include that a private offer doesn't?
Job security, a defined pension/gratuity structure, and sometimes housing or subsidized loans — none of which this calculator can price in. It only answers the salary and tax side of the comparison; weigh the rest separately.
